If someone could tell me how to permalink this thing (somewhere other than just my writing page where I gave up and put my NaBloPoMo badge) I’d be grateful. My coding skills suck. I may be a nerd but I’m not that kind of nerd.

By lapel do you mean sidebar? If so: Are you using widgets? If so, just add a text widget wherever you want the badge to show up and then use the same html code you would use to insert an image, with the link to the image source. See this page: http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/images/_IMG.html And to keep the badge link to the Go Overseas website, wrap the img src tags in a href tags. (I’m not sure I can write code in this comment box, but I’d be glad to email you more explicit instructions if you need!)

Thanks! And yeah, by lapel I meant sidebar (one normally pins things to lapels so i thought I’d run with that theme). I went to my widget editor in my dashboard but saw no text widget option. I’ll go look again. I’ll ask you for help if I fail miserably!
Got it! I cheated and went to View Developer/Source and copied and pasted it all. And it worked! Yay!
